Sugar-Free Ghost Cookies
Share
These little ghosts don't scare… but they do sweeten, and without sugar.
Ingredients:
☑️ 120 grams butter at room temperature
☑️ 50 grams AluSweet Allulose powder
☑️ 1 egg
☑️ 280 grams all-purpose flour (2 cups)
☑️ 1 tsp vanilla extract
Preparation:
Mix the butter with a hand mixer (it should be soft) until you achieve a creamy texture. Add the egg and vanilla extract and continue mixing. In another bowl, sift the flour and then mix with the AluSweet Allulose powder. Then add them to the mixture.
Combine all the ingredients, forming a dough that's easy to work with (never knead). Once the dough is ready, roll it out with a rolling pin between 2 pieces of plastic (e.g., a ziplock bag) or parchment paper to make it smooth, leaving it 3 mm thick, then freeze for at least 30 minutes. Take the dough out of the freezer and cut with a heart-shaped cutter, then divide the heart in half and form the ghosts. Use a piping tip to make the eyes and mouth.
Optional: If you want the cookie to be smooth with perfect edges (so it doesn't deform), put it back in the freezer for 30 minutes before baking.
Preheat the oven to 170°C (340°F). Place the cookies on a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat and bake for 10 minutes or until the edges are slightly golden. Remove from the oven and let cool.
When all the cookies are baked and cooled, dust with AluSweet Allulose powder.
